The entire zone except east-central areas remained in Severe(D2) drought. A small area of east-central remained in Moderate(D1) drought. The Truth or Consequences Airport reported 1.95 inches of precipitation which was 0.25 inches above normal.

Wider weather episode

Another month with most areas receiving below normal monsoon season precipitation lead to all areas of southern New Mexico being put into Severe(D2) to Exceptional(D4) drought.
