The entire zone remained in Severe(D2) drought through the month. The Mountain Park Cooperative Observer recorded 2.58 inches of precipitation which was 0.10 inches above normal.

Wider weather episode

Another month with most areas receiving below normal monsoon season precipitation lead to all areas of southern New Mexico being put into Severe(D2) to Exceptional(D4) drought.
