Event narrative

A waterspout was observed about one half mile west-southwest of Sunset Key. The condensation funnel cloud did not extend far from cloud base and no spray ring was visible.

Wider weather episode

A convective cloud line developed near and just south of the Lower Florida Keys. A couple waterspouts were observed.
