A waterspout was observed about 6 miles south of Big Pine Key on the upshear side of a developing thunderstorm. The initial funnel cloud was short and vertical, followed by an extended decay stage with a funnel visible, yet narrow funnel.

A waterspout was observed in association with a convective rain shower over the Straits of Florida south of Big Pine Key.
