Emory Fire Station reported flagpoles bowing over in thunderstorm winds, small limbs blowing across parking lot, and the bay doors of the fire station bowing in. An mPing report also reported more notable tree damage in Emory.

Wider weather episode

Severe storms developed along a front moving through the region as an upper level disturbance provided the necessary lift. Large hail up to baseball sized was reported along with several instances of wind damage.
