Wider weather episode
Dual areas of low pressure moved across NY, southern New England and just southeast of Cape Cod during the early morning hours of November 27th. This brought precipitation into the Adirondacks and Champlain Valley during the late evening hours of November 26th, exiting before dawn on November 27th.
Much of the precipitation fell as rain with marginal temperatures, but a heavy wet snow fell at elevations, mainly above 1000-1500 during the time of greatest precipitation intensity. Heavy wet snow in the Adirondacks of Essex county led to scattered power outages as well as slick, hazardous roads.
