Event narrative

A severe thunderstorm caused major roof damage to a mobile home in the Tchula area. A large tree was also blown into a power line.

Wider weather episode

A disturbance in northwest flow aloft triggered a round of severe thunderstorms as it interacted with a hot and unstable air mass over southeast Arkansas and northern Mississippi. These thunderstorms produced some wind damage and hail as they moved across northern and central Mississippi.
