Several trees and power lines were blown down in a swath from the Kilmichael to Poplar Creek areas through the southern part of Montgomery County.

Wider weather episode

A disturbance in northwest flow aloft triggered a round of severe thunderstorms as it interacted with a hot and unstable air mass over southeast Arkansas and northern Mississippi. These thunderstorms produced some wind damage and hail as they moved across northern and central Mississippi.
