Several trees were down and a snapped powerline reported in Schodack Landing.

Wider weather episode

A frontal boundary and low pressure system located to the west and east of eastern New York was the focus for rounds of showers and thunderstorms each day September 7-9. Strong to severe thunderstorms were more widespread on September 7-8. These storms resulted in numerous reports of tree and powerline damage, as well as thousands without power and several road closures.
