Wider weather episode
As dry conditions continued into November, this led to periods of critical fire weather conditions across the combined Panhandles. An upper level trough in place over the western United States allowed for southwest winds to occur over the Panhandles. A low pressure system developed on the eastern side of the Rockies, which allowed for increased winds and resulted in critical fire weather conditions across a good portion of the Panhandles on November 7th.
