COOP Observer reported 1.4 inches of snowfall in less than 12 hours. There were other reports across Cascade county of 0.5 inches and 2 inches of snow had fallen in less than 12 hours.

Wider weather episode

A fast moving weather system brought moderate to heavy snow along the Continental Divide, mostly from Roger's Pass northward to the Canadian border. An associated cold front surged southward and brought a brief period of colder temperatures and additional snow.
