Event narrative

Idaho Transportation Department reported a jack knifed semi blocked both Eastbound and Westbound lanes of Interstate 90 near milepost 73. Light snow had been falling for the day. Lookout Pass snotel recorded near 2 inches of snow for the day.

Wider weather episode

A low passed through the Pacific Northwest and brought the first round of widespread snow to the Idaho Panhandle. Snow amounts ranged from a trace to an inch.
