Strong west winds occurred over and below the San Gorgonio Pass on October 10th and 11th as a storm system moved north of the region. Numerous gusts of 60 to 75 mph occurred, with a SoCal-Edison Mesonet site near Whitewater recording a peak wind gust of 81 mph.
