Wind gusts in excess of 70 mph were reported at Farewell (L20KX) USARRAY site, with a peak wind gust of 85 mph measured.
Wider weather episode
A strong and fast moving low moved from Bristol Bay north to Kotzebue Sound on November 28th. This caused very strong winds to develop in the Western Alaska Range.
