An upper trough was moving through the Great Basin with modest southwest flow aloft over the Borderland. A dryline had moved into the areas east of the Rio Grande with some low level convergence along it. A few thunderstorms developed around the White Sands Missile Range and produced severe wind gusts up to 61 mph.
