Event narrative

Freezing rain was reported at several locations in the Upper Tanana Valley the evening of the 5th. 0.125 inches of ice accumulated on flat surfaces at Robertson River as reported by the NWS COOP Observer. The automated weather station at Northway reported a mixture of rain, freezing rain and ice pellets during the event.

A warm front moving north over the Alaska Range brought freezing rain to the Upper Tanana Valley.
