Torrington Airport ASOS station (KTOR) measured maximum wind gust at 12:53 PM MST.

Wider weather episode

Strong winds with a bora wind event returned to much of southeast Wyoming during the morning and early afternoon hours on December 7th. Wind-prone areas observed cross winds gusting up to 76 mph north of Cheyenne along Interstate 25. Portions of Interstate 80 and 25 were closed to light weight and high profile vehicles for an extended period of time on the 7th.
