The wider storm

The last day of an anomalous stretch of late-season severe weather across portions of the southwestern Great Plains. As a large tough continued to approach the region, strong shear, and rich low-level moisture aided in the development of numerous supercells across portions of the Permian Basin and Trans Pecos. Of note are supercells that impacted the Odessa and Fort Stockton areas with large hail.

Began near Colorado City (32.3600, -100.8600).
