Event narrative
There were numerous reports of fallen trees and one report of downed power lines between Atlas/Summer Hill and Pleasant Hill as the leading edge of the line of storms passed over Pike County.
Wider weather episode
Overnight August 11th into August 12th, discrete supercells congealed into a convective complex. This system produced widespread wind damage from northeast Missouri and west central Illinois as far south as the St. Louis Metropolitan Area.
