The combination of high pressure over southeast Canada and low pressure just off the Mid Atlantic coast resulted in strong northeast winds which caused moderate to major (tidal) coastal flooding over portions of Currituck county adjacent to the Atlantic coast. Duck reached 6.13 feet MLLW at 618 pm on Tuesday, September 26. Duck reached 6.71 feet MLLW at 648 pm on Wednesday, September 27. Duck reached 6.18 feet MLLW at 630 am on Thursday, September 28. Duck reached 6.22 feet MLLW at 718 pm on Thursday, September 28.
