Event narrative

The combination of high pressure over southeast Canada and low pressure just off the Mid Atlantic coast resulted in strong northeast winds which caused minor to moderate (tidal) coastal flooding over portions of Lancaster county adjacent to the Chesapeake Bay. Windmill Point reached 3.51 feet MLLW at 1006 pm on Wednesday, September 27.
