Intensifying low pressure tracked from near Cape Cod to the southeast of Nova Scotia during the 30th. Precipitation on the northern edge of the precipitation shield fell in the form of snow across northern Maine. Snow began during the morning of the 30th and persisted into the evening. Total snow accumulations generally ranged from 2 to 4 inches. This was the first significant snow of the season.
