AWOS KLGD recorded temperatures at or below 32 degrees for about 3 hours starting at 0410 PDT. The mesonet station CW9803 Elgin reported temperature at or below 32 degrees for over 5 hours starting at 0245 PDT. The mesonet station EW1076 Imbler reported temperatures at or below 32 degrees between 0630 to 0800 PDT.

Upper level ridging over the region lead to clear skies and dry conditions over the Grande Ronde valley the morning of October 13th. This combination of conditions lead to good radiative cooling occurring overnight, with temperatures at or below 32 degrees for several hours across much of the Grande Ronde valley.
