Event narrative
Moderate rain during the morning hours, with Multi-Radar Multi-Sensor estimates of around 0.50 to 0.75 inches of rainfall, resulted in Flash Flooding across portions of Zion National Park in addition to river flooding. Park officials reported that multiple drainages were flashing, with the North Fork Virgin River near Springdale gauge peaking at 605 CFS and the East Fork Virgin River near Springdale gauge peaking at 320 CFS.
