Winter Storm — Antrim, Michigan

2023-11-26 to 2023-11-28 · Antrim, Michigan

Wider weather episode

Deep troughing dug over the Great Lakes from 11/26 through 11/28, and supported a cyclone that trekked across Hudson Bay and placed northwest flow over the region during this stretch. Cold temperatures in the teens and twenties passing over the relatively warm Great Lakes waters generated an extended period of lake effect snow -- primarily across northwest lower and eastern upper Michigan. Areas near Gaylord and Sault Ste. Marie saw well over 12 of snow with the highest storm total snowfall of 17 being measured at the NWS Gaylord office by the afternoon of 11/28.
