Gusty Santa Ana winds impacted the Santa Ana Mountains, with peak gusts occurring from the evening on November 8 through the mid-morning hours on November 9. The following are the strongest wind gusts in the Santa Ana Mountains:

Fremont Canyon (1780'): 67 MPH

Pleasants Peak (3871'): 64 MPH

Santiago Peak (5629'): 59 MPH.

Wind started November 7 near the San Gorgonio Pass, and spread to the coastal mountain foothills by the morning on November 8.
