Gusty Santa Ana winds impacted the Santa Ana Mountains, with peak gusts occurring from the evening on November 8 through the mid-morning hours on November 9. The following are the strongest wind gusts in the Santa Ana Mountains:

Fremont Canyon (1780'): 67 MPH

Pleasants Peak (3871'): 64 MPH

Santiago Peak (5629'): 59 MPH.

Wind started November 7 near the San Gorgonio Pass, and spread to the coastal mountain foothills by the morning on November 8. The strongest wind gust of 81 MPH was recorded at Marshall Peak in the San Bernardino County Mountains.
