A winter storm warning was issued above 3000 feet for the Cascades of King and Snohomish County, for approx 6 to 15 inches falling above 3000 for this time. Snoqualmie pass only registered around 2 to 3 inches during this time, more so leaning towards Winter Weather Advisory criteria.

Wider weather episode

A low pressure system off the coast of Vancouver Island pushed fronts throughout Western Washington, bringing lowland rain and first significant mountain snow throughout the area. A couple of record breaking lows were recorded along with maximum daily rainfall.
