Event narrative

The entire zone remained in Extreme(D3) drought through November. The Cliff Cooperative Observer recorded 0.32 inches of precipitation which was 0.52 inches below normal.

Wider weather episode

Below normal precipitation was once again noted across southern New Mexico which helped to expand Extreme(D3) to Exceptional(D4) drought to almost the entire area.
