Severe(D2) drought remained in place for the zone through the month of November. The Hillsboro Cooperative Observer reported 0.41 inches of precipitation which was 0.33 inches below normal.

Wider weather episode

Below normal precipitation was once again noted across southern New Mexico which helped to expand Extreme(D3) to Exceptional(D4) drought to almost the entire area.
