The entire zone remained in Extreme(D3) drought through the month of November. The Mountain Park Cooperative Observer reported 0.48 inches of precipitation which was 0.46 inches below normal.

Wider weather episode

Below normal precipitation was once again noted across southern New Mexico which helped to expand Extreme(D3) to Exceptional(D4) drought to almost the entire area.
