The entire zone remained in Extreme(D3) drought through the month. The Elk Cooperative Observer reported 0.45 inches of precipitation which was 0.06 inches below normal.
The wider storm
Below normal precipitation was once again noted across southern New Mexico which helped to expand Extreme(D3) to Exceptional(D4) drought to almost the entire area.
