Total snowfall reports from observers in Ontonagon County included 12 inches near Bergland, 8 inches at Trout Creek and 7 inches at Paulding. West winds gusting 25-30 mph at times also caused occasional whiteout conditions in snow and blowing snow.

Wider weather episode

Lake effect snow in the wake of a cold front produced moderate to heavy snow accumulation over the northwest wind snow belts of west and north central Upper Michigan from the evening of the 26th into the 28th.
