Fourteen inches of snow fell Forest Lakes. Eight inches of new snow fell in Heber-Overgaard. Nine inches of new snow fell 13 miles east-northeast of Clints Well in the Blue Ridge area.

Wider weather episode

A winter weather system hit northern Arizona beginning early January 7 through early January 8. This cold system lowered snow levels as low as 3000 feet elevation.
