High winds and rough seas caused 5 boats to break from their moorings in the Milbridge Harbor. Two of the boats were destroyed...with one of the boats sent crashing into a pier which was heavily damaged.

Wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph were common along the Downeast coast and coastal waters. A maximum wind gust of 67 mph was measured at the Jonesport buoy.
