Drought conditions improved from severe drought (D2) to moderate drought (D1) most areas of the county with only the extreme southwestern areas of the county remaining in severe drought (D2) for November 2023.

Wider weather episode

Drought conditions across the area improved across the board. In some areas there was significant improvement from severe drought (D2) to abnormally dry (D0). Only a handful of counties in Central Kansas remain in extreme drought at the end of December 2023.
