A band of lake-effect snow off Lake Ontario produced heavy snowfall across the southern Adirondacks from November 27-28, 2023. Snow began during the early afternoon hours on November 27 and continued into the morning hours on November 28. By the afternoon hours on November 28, the band dropped southward with lighter snow showers and flurries continuing until ending later in the evening. Snowfall totals in excess of one foot were observed where the band was most persistent which included portions of Route 28.
