The Port Everglades WeatherFlow Mesonet station XPEG measured frequent wind gusts of up to 73 mph/63 kt as a wake-low moved across the area.
Wider weather episode
As a strengthening low-pressure system moved across the Florida Keys into the Atlantic, a wake-low developed on the backside of the system's precipitation field. This resulted in strong winds across the nearshore Atlantic Waters on the morning of November 16th.
