SNOW SQUALL. Rapid visibility drop due to heavy snowfall observed on webcams with RWIS sensor reporting visibility drops and snow-covered roadways.
Wider weather episode
A low pressure system stationed to the north allowed a cold frontal passage across central Pennsylvania throughout the early morning hours of January 14, 2024. Snow squalls along the cold front dropped visibilities below a quarter of a mile and produced heavy snow as they moved eastward across the area.
