Strong and gusty north to northeast winds impacted the eastern range of the Santa Monica Mountains. Some peak wind gusts include: Malibu Hills RAWS (gust 64 MPH), Saddle Peak (gust 62 MPH) and Backbone Trail (gust 60 MPH).
Wider weather episode
Strong and gusty north to northeast winds impacted portions of Southwestern California. Widespread wind gusts in the 60 to 70 MPH range were reported with even some localized gusts over 100 MPH.
