Generally 10 to 15 inches of snow fell across the area with higher amounts of 17.6 inches of snow at Steamboat Springs 1.9E. Winds gusted in the 20 to 35 mph range on average with a peak gust of 47 mph on 12/3.

Wider weather episode

The second in a series of low pressure troughs moved across northwest and west-central Colorado, bringing heavy snowfall and strong winds to the northern and central Colorado mountains. This northwest flow event was also accompanied by a moderate to strong Atmospheric River.
