An airplane pilot reported a waterspout associated with a thunderstorm over the local Atlantic waters off the coast of Miami-Dade County.

With the influence of a mid-level trough to the north, a surface low pressure system moving across the Southeast U.S. pulled a warm front across South Florida on the morning of January 6th. Showers and thunderstorms moving north along the warm front produced a waterspout off the coast of Miami-Dade County.
