Periods of heavy snow reduced visibilities to near zero along Seward Highway near Turnagain Pass.

A strong low pressure system moved north from the North Pacific toward southcentral Alaska on 12/9 through 12/13 as the system, which consisted of a series of low pressure systems brought repeating periods of heavy snow and winds to the region extending from the Kenai Peninsula into the greater Prince William Sound.
