Event narrative

A snowfall of 23.0 inches with 2.60 inches of snow water equivalent was measured in the Bear River Range. Additionally, snow water equivalent of 1.20-1.60 inches was recorded at SNOTEL sites, with approximately 10-14 inches of snowfall.

Wider weather episode

A series of storm systems between December 7 and December 9 brought accumulating snow to northern Utah, with the most accumulation in the northern mountains.
