Dense fog was observed across the Central Colorado River Basin, including at the Eagle County Regional Airport where visibility was reduced to less than one quarter of a mile periodically over the course of two hours.

With quiet conditions in control on the morning of the 22nd, moisture trapped in valley locations across northwestern Colorado led to the development of dense fog for a few hours.
