Strong and gusty northeasterly winds impacted the Northwestern Mountains of Los Angeles county. Some peak gusts include: Whitaker Peak RAWS (77 MPH), Sandberg ASOS (gust 63 MPH) and Marple Canyon (gust 59 MPH).

Wider weather episode

Strong and gusty Santa Ana winds impacted many areas of Ventura and Los Angeles counties. Northeasterly wind gusts up to 93 MPH were reported. Also, some strong northeasterly winds were observed across the mountains of Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties with peak gusts of 66 MPH.
