A prefrontal squall line ahead of a cold front over the eastern Gulf of Mexico extending south from an area of low pressure moving across the southeast U.S. and Mid-Atlantic produced gusty marine winds over west central and southwest Florida waters.
Began near Port Charlotte (26.9600, -82.0800).
