The PG&E station at Joaquin Ridge measured a peak wind gust of 75 mph.
Wider weather episode
A strong low pressure system approached central California on January 31. Gusty southerly winds ahead of this system resulted in some tress being downed and several reports of gusts exceeding 40 mph. Many wind prone locations in the higher elevations measured gusts exceeding 60 mph.
