A cold front associated with an area of low pressure across Quebec brought a widespread rainfall to eastern New York on December 10, 2023. Colder air behind the front combined with a developing area of low pressure tracking off the East Coast caused rain to change over to wet snow during the overnight hours and into the morning hours on December 11 before gradually ending. After receiving between 1.00 and 2.50 inches of rainfall, snow totals ranged from 4 to 7 inches across portions of the southern Adirondacks and eastern Catskills with generally 3 inches or less elsewhere. Impacts associated with this event were mainly limited to some power outages across Hamilton County.
