Event narrative

Hoopa RAWS reported a wind gust to 63 mph. Numerous trees were reported downed across the Hoopa Valley Reservation. Power was knocked out to the entire Highway 96 corridor from Hoopa to Orleans and up 169.

Wider weather episode

A strong front brough widespread rain to Northwest California and damaging winds to portions of Del Norte and Humboldt counties. Small stream flooding was common across the region while main stem rivers also flooded in Mendocino County.
