An area of low pressure moved by to the south bringing rain that changed to a period of moderate to heavy snow. Snow accumulations ranged from four to eight inches across western Maryland to two to locally five inches along the I-70 corridor towards the Pennsylvania state line. Accumulations of one to three inches were observed northwest of I-95.
